Let’s talk lipsticks...Fall lipsticks. I will be the first to admit that even though I don’t wear makeup every single day, I love it. And lipsticks are one thing I can’t stop buying. I have two mascaras I’m committed to. I have one bronzer I’m obsessed with. But lipsticks...that’s a totally different situation. No matter the brand, no matter the shade, I just keep adding to my collection.
For the most part, I have a lot of mauve/pink tone nudes for Summer. And truth be told, I wear a lot of chapstick in Summer because of...you know...the sun. But Fall, Fall is when I get to bring some color to my lips. Therefore, I thought I would share with all of you my favorite fall lipsticks. Some drugstore, some high end, all worth buying. Disclaimer: these aren’t my only lipsticks, they are just my favorites.
Using the picture above as a reference - let’s talk Fall Lipsticks!
Top Left: Red! Who doesn’t love a good red? I mean come on! Isn’t it every girls dream to find that perfect red that suits her just right? I searched high and low for the best red for myself. Truth be told it was a lot harder than I thought it would be. There are two important things you have to take into consideration when looking for a red: your skin tone and the color of your teeth. First one makes sense right? Skin tone applies to all makeup decisions. But the color of your teeth? It was a new one for me when I was first told about shopping for reds. Turns out that while red lipsticks have the reputation of making your teeth look whiter, the wrong red can actually make them look worse. And as someone that doesn’t have perfectly white teeth, that was a hard lesson I learned while on the hunt for the perfect red. There were some that made me cringe when I saw pictures of myself! That’s why I was beyond excited when I found L’Oreal Infallible Pro Matte Gloss in Shanghai Scarlet. It paired nicely with my pale skin and didn’t make my teeth look yellow. It also dried down beautifully and didn’t smudge. I paired it was Essence Femme Fatale lip liner in the photo above to give it that final touch.
Top Right: Mauve Nude! My to go lip color. I can’t tell you the number of lipsticks I have in this shade. They do - of course - have a slight variation to each of them. Which is what I tell myself every time I buy this shade. That being said, my favorite mauve nude is Too Faced Melted lipstick in Chihuahua. It’s the perfect everyday shade that will go with every outfit. A staple for your makeup collection. I paired it Realher Expert Advice Lip liner in I Love Myself. It’s the perfect nude liner to compliment all your nude lipstick shades.
Bottom Left: Coral Me Fall! I’m not a fan of the bright coral lip - personal preference. Nonetheless, I haven’t given up on this shade completely. I found the perfect subtle coral color for Fall. Pacifica has sold me on their Plushious Liquid Mineral Lipstick in Aura. Oh and did you know that Pacifica is Cruelty Free and Vegan! Just an added bonus!
Bottom Right: Finally, we have a beautiful berry color. Another Too Faced gem - their Lip Injection Color Bomb in Bigger Berry is my statement berry color for Fall. Fair warning, this is a moisture plumping lip tint. You will feel the burn/tingle. Now, I wouldn’t say it made a dramatic difference in my lips but I adore the color so that’s why it’s made the list!
Recap:
Lipsticks are a fun way to add a pop of color to your overall look!
